UGC Exam Pattern
Candidates who are appearing for the UCG NET must have complete knowledge of the syllabus and exam pattern. UGC NET exam comprises Paper-I and Paper-II. The aspirants need to appear for both papers in a single duration of 3 hours. Both the Papers consist of different questions, as Paper I is to determine the teaching and research aptitude skills among candidates, while Paper II consists of subject-specific questions.
Paper I includes 50 questions, while Paper II has 100 questions, and the candidates must attempt every question to crack this examination. The applicants will be given 2 marks for every correct attempt and not undergo negative marking for wrong answers.
UGC NET Syllabus
As per the exam pattern, the UGC NET syllabus is also divided into 2 parts, which are:
- UGC NET Paper-I
This section requires aspirants to possess basic knowledge about Teaching Aptitude, Communication, Research Aptitude, and Logical Reasoning.
- UGC NET Paper-II
The Paper-II section provides you with a choice of 101 subjects. The candidates are required to choose any one of those subjects.
